Our Work

Previous macrobert productions include The Wizard of Oz; The Happy Prince; and a summer theatre project for young people which culminated in a production of the schools version of Les Miserables.  For Christmas 2006 we produced Stirling's own traditional family Pantomime,  Aladdin,  for everyone over 5 years, for Christmas 2007 we produced Cinderella, which was very recently nominated for the Critic's Award for Theatre for Best Children's Production, Mother Goose was macrobert's Christmas Panto last year which was a huge success and work is already underway for this year's hilarious take on Sleeping Beauty.

Two years ago we also worked in association with the team who presented CLUB ASYLUM in 2002 (Company of Angels, Y Dance and The Tron) on a project called RISK written by John Retallack.

RISK played throughout Scotland from 5 February to 11th March 2007 with a subsequent two week tour of England.

macrobert has 11 youth groups which include a satellite group in Dunblane; 2 streetdance companies, a youth dance company and a young film crew.  We also work regularly with Alloa Day Centre and offer an extensive arts activity programme for schools.

macrobert has a young consultancy scheme in which young people regularly feedback and advise on how to improve the programme and facilities for children and young people. Currently we have 30 members in this group ranging from 6 to 18 years.
