macrobert offers a wide range of performances that tie in with the curriculum. Special ticket discounts for schools apply to most of our performances. We can tailor pre or post performance workshops to the needs of your class, either in one of our spaces at macrobert or in your own space.

Let's Dance Festival
We are all very excited about macrobert’s first Let’s Dance Festival this April. The festival offers a wealth of opportunities for people of all ages to take part in dance, through workshops, projects and performances.
For schools we have performances for nursery, primary and secondary ages - with workshops available and your school and bus subsidies available to help you to get here!
There is also the Red Shoes Schools Art competition, head here for more information on how your school can get involved.
The Festival is part of the Scotland-wide Get Scotland Dancing initiative, which aims to encourage more people to get active and participate in dance. And now… Put on your dancing shoes and LET’S DANCE!

Curriculum for Excellence

Travel Subsidy
We support schools and groups to attend the Let’s Dance Festival through our Travel Subsidy Scheme. A bus subsidy of 25% is available for all groups over 20 attending. Or take up our Early Bird Offer for an even better deal!

Schools Workshops
Some of our Let’s Dance Festival schools performances have free workshops available. Scottish Dance Theatre will be running schools workshops in conjunction with the performance of What on Earth?! A limited number of workshops are available on a first come, first served basis when booking through our Box Office.
Following the Triple Bill performances, the companies will lead pupils in a range of dance and music workshops at macrobert. They are available on a first come, first served basis when booking through our Box Office.
Accessible venue
macrobert is fully accessible for wheelchairs and prams. If anyone in your group has any special requirements, please let us know in advance to ensure we can make your visit the fully enjoyable. Concession tickets are available for people with a disability plus their carer.
