It's not just panto! Christmas is for the whole family, so this December at macrobert we have a range of spectacular live shows to keep everyone entertained, from age aged 0 to 100!
Innocence is perfect for 0-3 year olds (and their adults!), returning to macrobert for a limited run from 11-22 Dec. Described by The Scotsman as 'Positively perfect', Innocence invites children to dance, play and sing on a magical theatrical journey shared with Scottish Dance Theatre’s band of accomplished dancers
For those a little bit older, 3-6 year olds can watch the magic unfold in The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot (3-29 Dec) a heart-warming festive adventure about gifts, friendship and eating your vegetables! Johnny hates Christmas. The presents, the tree, Brussel Sprouts-- yuck! But when jolly old Mr McGregor next door disappears, it's up to Johnny to save Christmas for everyone!
And of course, it's panto season! Don't miss the return of Scotland's panto king Johnny McKnight to macrobert as he writes, directs and stars in our riotous new version of the greatest love story in the pantosphere, Beauty & The Beast! Part Grease, part Downton Abbey and a whole lot of fun, Beauty & The Beast plays at macrobert until 5 January--book your tickets NOW so you don't miss out on this sublime slice of panto fun!
This year macrobert is joining forces with businesses and generous people across the Forth Valley area to ensure that local families who need a break, will be able to enjoy an unforgettable outing to Beauty and the Beast - find out more about how you can contribute to our Christmas Appeal here.
December big screen highlights include blockbusting action with Thor: The Dark World (30 Nov - 5 Dec), Disney's classic Aladdin on the big screen (30 Nov - 5 Dec), and the first chance to catch The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug with an exclusive 11AM screening on 13 Dec. macrobert is a charity and we are passionate about what we do; about bringing great live performances and film to Stirling for you, your family and friends; about creative learning that gives people of all ages opportunities to dance, to act, to sing, to make films, write scripts, direct and to join in! We strive to keep tickets affordable, and we take free performances into communities where children rarely experience the thrill of live performance, and we deliver a wide range of activities designed to include everyone whatever their circumstances.
In a climate of funding cut-backs macrobert needs your support to keep these great arts programmes going. Companies can support macrobert too.
