Easter adventures at macrobert!

"Go to laugh, to be surprised, and to remember how much you love laughter and the story of Robin Hood." Broadway World

"Kids loved the performance of The Adventure of Robin Hood. But I have to tell you, I think the adults in the audience enjoyed it more! Sixty rip-roaring, fun-filled minutes" DC Metro

On our mainstage this Saturday, 19th April at 2PM we have Visible Fictions' unmissable new production of The Adventures Of Robin Hood, fresh from an acclaimed run in Washington DC. This imaginative and and fast-paced family show is a riotous romp through the legend of Nottingham’s most famous outlaw, perfect for merry men (and women) everywhere age 7 and up!

And onscreen the laughs keep coming with flapping fantastic animated sequel Rio 2, screening in our filmhouse from now until 20th April!

Music, monarchs and more...

There's a universe of eclectic drama coming up at macrobert!

First up, on Friday 25 April we have The National Theatre Of Scotland and Vanishing Point's The Beautiful Cosmos of Ivor Cutler-- half play, half gig, this is a musical, magical and surreal celebration of one of Scotland's best-loved eccentrics.

On Saturday 26 April, performer Rebecca Vaughan is joining us once more with another of her astonishing solo productions, this time swapping the bodice-ripping Austen's Women for the decidely more laced-up Queen Elizabeth I in 5-star Fringe Festival sell-out I, Elizabeth.

And we're also really excited to have a brand new production of Olivier award-winning playwright David Harrower's A Slow Air, with us on 21 May-a beautifully humane story of one buttoned-up brother, one wild sister and a birthday party to remember!
