If dressing up isn't quite your thing, and carving a pumpkin is sometimes just too darn hard (and messy!), then at macrobert we've got lots to keep both adults and children alike entertained this spooky weekend with a fantastic mix of live shows and films.
Macbeth - Shakespeare's classic from Scottish Opera is unsettling and full of tension; A world of camouflage leaders, chain smoking witches and where power is all...but comes at a price. (Thursday 30th 7.30pm)
Female Gothic - Join us on Friday 31st at 7.30pm for a literary spine-chiller celebrating lost Gothic works from the great Victorian female writers.
The Scottish Paranormal Festival begins this weekend, devoted entirely to paranormal and supernatural productions, and macrobert is pleased to be a host venue for the film strand. For adults we'll be showing cult classics such as Rosemary's Baby, The Shining, Don't Look Now and intriguing documentary, Room 237, that examines the numerous theories and possible hidden meanings behind 'The Shining'. For those little devils, Frankenweenie and Paranorman will keep them entertained long enough not to cause too much mischief!
